Nova travels to Norway for Christmas to see his grandmother. After missing Christmas visits to his grandmother for four years, he finally does. As he gazes at the house and the yard where he used to play, every memory comes flooding back. During the long winter of December, Nova spends his first three days exploring the town and reuniting with old friends. As the fourth day passes, he awakens on the day he arrived. He begins his day all over again, wondering if the previous four days were a dream, but discovers that everything is exactly as it was when he arrived. Then it all starts over. As he finishes the fourth day, the days start to repeat themselves, and he is unable to continue. He then realises... He is stuck in a Time loop. He is the only person capable of breaking out of the time loop and discovering the cause of it.
